In the screenshot you provided you have some filters enabled. Make sure that indeed there are items that match your filters. You can also try to click the clear button.
I have execlly the same problem. And it's not bcs of filter.
I restart all plugin, imported, have write new category and items and still can't see it on the list. No matter what king of filteres I would choise
Can you found, what can be problem here?
I've tried multiple and no filter options and none of them reveal any articles, which are visible in the Admin Panel popular items list, from where they can be accessed and edited.
sorry if I'm adding this twice, it didn't appear the first one was attached to the forum post I was refrencing... hope this one works!

Hi all,
I am also having a problem with the categories not showing in the k2 admin panel. I am using the latest version of k2 (dowloaded today) with Joomla 2.5.
Initially I was using Firefox as my browser. I added my first category, but it did not save. I repeated this 3 times, and each time after saving and closing, the category panel showed it was empty. However, when I went to the items panel, created an item and went to see if there were any categories to add it to, the category I had created showed up 3 times (from the items drop down menu).
So logged out and switched browsers to Safari. Initially Safari showed me all 3 categories I'd created in the category admin panel; however, after leaving that panel to do other management within Joomla and returning a few minutes later, the categories were again gone.
I found this forum post and tried selecting English as the language, but that made no difference (and it automatically refreshed to 'select language' each time... never staying on English... but maybe that's because English is the only option).
Anyway, those are all my details. Hopefully k2 can discover what the problem is and it will be an easy fix for all!
I confirm that the items exist in database. Attached is screen grab of item ready for editing. Notice the category and other filter details. I accessed this item through the popular items in Joomla Main admin panel.
The second screen grab shows the item filters applied to try and recover this item. Interestingly, the Language Filter will NOT allow me to set language as UK English or ALL
I'm happy to send you an akeeba back-up of the site if your developers want to investigate
Hi. The item you are editing in the screenshot is in English. So in the lists you need to filter "All" or "English". So what do you mean it will not allow you? Can you click the filter? Can you choose another option from the filter?
Remarkable discovery - just tried viewing K2 Items in IE9 and all are visible. This is a rare occasion when Chrome and Firefox fail to deliver but IE9 does. I'll live with this work around for now if IE works for EDITING ITEMS.
Unrelated undocumented cross dependencies could be any number of causes, browser extensions add-ons etc.
Hi. What version of K2 are you using? Please provide some more information about the browser versions that are facing the issues. Any further information like other installed extensions would be very usefull.
Just logged into IE9 and its not working. So installed Opera to check that browser. It works for now.
Yesterday was the first time using IE9 to access K2 items.
Will Opera work again?
Hi. Just checked under Firefox 13.0.1 with no issues. Try to logout. Then clean the browser's cache. And then login again. Also ensure that K2 system plugin is installed and enabled.
I don't think the problem lies within which browser is being used. But I have noticed that switching to a new browser seems to allow one to see the category/items for awhile.
This is the order I've gone:
1) Mac-Firefox... was unable to see the category at any point
...switched to
2)Mac-Safari... was able to see category and items initially. After managing other areas of the joomla backedn for a bit and coming back to k2 to manage category/items again, I was no longer able to see them.
...next day at work
3) PC-Firefox... logged in and immediately could see catg/items
4)PC-Internet Explorer... same thing, could see all catg/items
...same time, checked MAC laptop side by side the PC comp
5) MAC Firefox & Safari.... still nothing showing
...next day (today)
6)PC-IE... logged in and could still see catg/items. Logged into Mac and could not see them. THEN I moved forward and assigned a menu to K2 Category. Immediately went back to k2 category and was UNABLE to view. Unassaigned the menu from k2 catg back to an article catg blog, but was still unable to see categ/items.
So, is it possible the problem begins once a menu is assigned to k2?
Joom 2.5
k2 2.5.6 (started with 2.5.7, but switched to .6 to see if it would help)

Hi, just tried logging out in safari (MAC) and clearing cache. Also, checked k2 plugins and all are enabled. Did not change anything, still unable to view.
Cleared history from Firefox browser (MAC), logged in and WAS able to see category. Opened website ("View Site") and clicked on the menu/web page I had assigned the k2 Category to. Went back to backend, refreshed and was unable to see categ/items.
Repeated the above steps with the PC, Firefox and IE, both of them showed me the catg/items after clearing cache and logging back in. However, they also both immediately disappeared after viewing the k2 catg page on the website and then returning to the backend and refreshing, like the previous paragraph states.
I agree it is not a K2 issue but something to do with local PC you're working on. I've started working on affected site in Ubuntu and all works fine and continues working fine.
Hi,
I'm still working with this problem, thought I'd fixed it by switching to ubuntu to work on site but NO. The one component we have in common is Aceshop. I'm going to make a few tests to determine if Acershop / K2 together is the problem.
I 've asked Joomace if they have tested Aceshop in a K2 website

No progress solving the problem, if the K2 development team would like to have a look in my development site admin panel to investigate you're very welcome
same issue here running a fresh new K2 install on a fresh new joomla 2.5.6 install.
Can't see items nor categories in Chrome 21.0.1180.60 m but shows up on IE 7
Tried for the first time on Firefox 14 and worked.
Cleaning the cache on Chrome didn't worked.
I guess this may be some K2 issue with cache of its own interface components or browser-dependent javascript or something like that
I see this is a K2 issue, as the off-the-box joomla Articles Manager doesn't have the same problem, nor any other extension dealing with its own categories.
We are having the same problem. Using Firefox 15.0.1 (Mac). Here is what I observed: After clearing browser cache, I relogin all items appear.. All categories appear. But when I go to the front end, select an image in the cart then return to admin panel, all items and categories disappear.
The cart should be designed for the browser I would think.
As we have been preparing for a presentation for a client, this is a big concern.
Since it's a CSS issue, use firebug in the administration to see what CSS rule is hiding the rows. If it's coming from K2 let us know so we can fix them.
