To get this to work, I just modified my .htaccess file. I added the following:

RewriteRule blog.feed blog.feed?format=feed

While not perfect (it doesn't address the core issue of the K2 feed link not working), it works for now.

well the button does not work as it should
I am using k2 2.6.5 and i have issues with greek chars on the description of the item

i did the fix to comment out the following line
//$metaDescItem = htmlspecialchars($metaDescItem, ENT_QUOTES, 'UTF-8');

from components/com_k2/views/item/view.item

worked on one site but did not work on another

Hi everyone,
I know this not a K2 problem & i just posted on joomla forum but i thought i would ask here also.
I am currently developing a site using Joomla! 2.5.11 Stable, I have set up Smart Search & have created 3 Search Filters, I have also created a Smart Search Menu Item.

My problem is this no matter what I try including setting up menu item for each Search Filter. I created 3 Smart Search modules 1 for each filter, But all modules return results from the very first SS menu item.

I have searched this forum & the net, and although I see others with the same problem I can't find a definitive answer, either a way to do it or if its not possible.

Any help or advice will be much appreciated.

Quiero tener un módulo que me muestre los ítems de una categoría, tal como lo hace el mod_k2_content, pero que me muestre los ítems de la categoría que estoy navegando en ese momento.
Es decir, que si estoy en misitio.com/collection/itemlist/category/3-2013, que me muestre los ítems de la categoría '2013' y si estoy en misitio.com/collection/itemlist/category/3-2012 me muestre los ítems de la categoría '2012', por poner un ejemplo.

haha its not midnight yet and I have beaten k2.js into submission

If anybody is having issues validating extrafields that are of the type radio buttons then try the attached k2.js.
It goes in 'media/k2/assets/js'

Its tested with 2.5.x and the file difference with 2.6..x seem negligible

Comments /changes are marked . I have added about 30 lines of jquery/javascript

Tested on IE8 /FF 19 / Chrome and up

ho il file lo metti dentro alla cartella default all'interno del template... dunque il percorso giusto sarebbe /templates/miotemplate/html/com_k2/default/user.php o altrimenti nella cartella templates (se non c'è creala) crei una cartella tipo "myuser" e li ci butti il file user.php

I installed K2 v2.6.6 on the Joomla! v2.5.11 and after first import of categories and articles, I get these error messages for the one article on category on my site. I created a new Category in K2 itself from the imported Category it inherited the error message how do fix this error message? or did I do something incorrect in my importing the categories?

Joomla! 2.5.9, K2 v2.6.5 using the Ja wall template , XAMPP 2.5.8

Regarding k2 user module "my page" link problem;

clicking on the "my page" link in the k2 user module, it takes me to index.php/component/k2/itemlist/user/etc.... which is where it should navigate to.

If I then navigate to another page within the site, say the video blog page and then back to "my page" link in the k2 user module
it will direct me to index.php/video/k2/itemlist/user/etc....
leading to a blank page. The top/left side nav etc is still viewable but the video blog page is not.
This depends on the page I previously looked at it seems.

Can someone shed some light on this, it's baffled me.

Another problem is that all the modules disappear when I click the "My account" link on the K2 User module
The my account interface takes up the whole page, not sure if this is related, but it's another issue.

pag 2: from backend: extra field is "width", in the homonymous group "width".
now that field is the only one in that group

pag 3: from backend: item is "imfreenow", extra field width is set to "width4"

pagg 4,5: from backend: menu item is "home"

pag 6: from frontend: home page result: nice!

pag 7: from backend: i add extra field "descrizione" to the width group

pag 8: from backend: i fill extra field descrizione text area with "prova!" or whatever...

pag 9: from frontend: here's the result: imfreenow image shrinks.

i need many extra field for that category, i started to work on submit form etc... but i don't want to "sacrifice" the home page!!!

any help, suggestion???

Hello!

I'm testing K2 to replace the Joomla content system. Evreything seems to work fine except for one thing. On the site i'm building, i'm using extensive granular detail of joomlas's ACL system because there are a lot of user groups and lots of different access levels. That means certain users (teachers) can only publish/edit articles in certain categories (classrooms they belong).

In joomla's article system, when creating an article and selecting a Category for that article, a teacher that belongs to 1st grade and Teachers group/ACL has the following options to choose:

Category:
--- 1A
- Teachers

...because she belongs to those groups and can only publish things to those groups.

Now in K2, when creating an Item, the Category options for that item has the following options:

Category:
-Blog
--Students
---Primary
----Morning Shift
-----Grade 1
-------1A
-Teachers

In this scenario, K2 shows the whole category tree for 1st grade! This could be a problem because teachers can unintentionally select the wrong category.

Is there a possibility to modify this? Instead of showing the whole category tree just show 1A, like in joomla??

Hey, we're looking to do a couple things to some custom tag.php templates.

1. Customize the browser page title. We'd like it to read Tag | Category | Website. At this point all I've managed to do is turn off the "displaying tag:" default text with a language override.

2. Change the number of tag view items posted in tag.php. By default it's 10, but I'd like to be able to display 20 on a custom template, and 5 on another.

Any ideas?

The social sharing option for k2 is creating 24 errors that can be seen using the browsers Developer Tools and viewing the Source tab. Is there a way to resolve these?

Qué tal, estoy trabajando mi web con K2, ya que afortunadamente la plantilla que adquirí lo incluía, me agrado la vista de las categorías en el demo de esa plantilla y quisiera que se mostrara del mismo modo pero a pesar de poner los parámetros que me proporcionan en el tutorial que me proporcionaron, no logro que queden de esa manera.

La primera imagen muestra las categorías como las deseo tener, con una imagen de fondo y un logo sobrepuesto, con la indicación del nombre de la categoría en la parte superior. Y en la segunda imagen es de como me queda a mi con las imágenes separadas y con el nombre de la categoría abajo.

Espero puedan ayudarme, gracias de antemano.
