Nearly 35 Joomla fans, users and developers have come to learn more about what myself and my team at Joomi have been using for the past 2+ years as one of our main must-have extension for Joomla projects - K2.
For those unaware, Israel has a vibrant Joomla community, led by a handful of professionals with a passion for open-source technologies and dedication to sharing knowledge and enlighting others.
Ofer Cohen, an OSM board member (whose donation to the Israeli Joomla community is to be noted) and I, have decided that after many requests and questions asked on the forums of joomla.org.il, it is time to expose people to a great extension and put to rest those who have claimed K2 was "too complicated" to start with.
During the 2.5 hours keynote, I presented the main uses of K2, discussed the attributes made available to content entities and ended with a peek into the basics of templating.
Feedbacks were good, and I know of at least one person who decided to give K2 a test drive for their own needs straight after the presentation!
